Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to make a grand return to the silver screen after a hiatus of two years with his latest movie, ‘Jailer.’ The anticipation surrounding the film has reached unprecedented heights, with advance bookings already raking in a staggering Rs 19 crore before its much-awaited release on August 10.
The fervor of Rajinikanth’s fandom transcends geographical boundaries; his global admirers have elevated their devotion to unparalleled levels. A viral video on social media showcased Rajinikanth admirers in Dallas participating in rituals often observed in India. They showered a larger-than-life banner of the superstar with 25 liters of milk and ignited firecrackers.
Back in India, this devotion takes different forms. In Madurai’s Thiruparankundram Amman Temple, fans arranged a special prayer ceremony, offering the unique penance ‘Man Soru’ to seek the film’s success. Rajinikanth’s influence is evident, as offices in Chennai and Bengaluru have declared a holiday on August 10, gifting their employees with free tickets to witness the cinematic spectacle.
