The Shahenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has turned 81 today. His fans waited outside Jalsa, the actor’s Mumbai home to catch a glimpse of him. The veteran actor stepped outside the gates to greet his admirers, folding hands and seeking blessings. Amitabh wore traditional Indian attire with a garland on his neck. He smiled and waved at his fans.
His fans captured photos and videos of the actor who stood on a platform. Amitabh’s fans showered blessings on him and also played some of his popular songs on speakers to celebrate his birthday.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is an industry in himself. He has acted in more than 200 films and has also been a film producer and hugely successful television host in Kaun Banega Crorepati? The icon has won sixteen Filmfare Awards and to date, he is the most nominated actor in any major acting category at Filmfare.
Amitabh made his debut as an actor in 1969 as a voice narrator in veteran Bengali film director Mrinal Sen’s National Award-winning cinema Bhuvan Shome. In 1999 he was voted as “the greatest star of stage or screen” by a poll conducted by BBC. Amitabh made a terrific appearance in 2013 in the Hollywood movie, The Great Gatsby. He received the Legion of Honour in 2007, the highest civilian honor conferred by the Government of France. The ace actor was called the “Star of the Millennium” in 2003 by TIME magazine, USA.
The ‘angry young man’ has been honored with Padma Shri (1984), Padma Bhushan (2001), and Dadasaheb Phalke Award (2018) by the Government of India.
Amitabh’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan, and her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda took to Instagram and showered their love. Navya even shared two pictures of the private celebration on her Instagram story with the caption, “Happy Birthday Nana.”
Bollywood celebrities such as Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Sanjay Dutt, Kajol, Zoya Akhtar, Maheep Kapoor, and others also poured their love and respect to the veteran actor on his birthday.
